About-UsOur clinic has been providing veterinary services to the community for over 50 years. Dr. Sondra Wand founded Harmony Veterinary Clinic, and passed the torch to Dr. Stephanie Todd and Dr. Keith Payton in 1995. We have been an AAHA-affiliated hospital since 2001. We offer a wide range of routine and in-house diagnostic and surgical services such as laboratory tests, radiographs, and ultrasound procedures. We primarily attend to cats, dogs, and certain exotic pets such as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and hamsters.

Our goal is to provide excellent medical and surgical care. We strive to cherish and protect the special bond that exists between pets and their families, and to maintain an atmosphere where our patients can feel at ease.

Appointments

mainWe see our patients by appointment only. We try to give our clients the flexibility they need in scheduling routine visits, while reserving time for urgent care every day. We strongly believe in seeing sick or injured patients promptly. When a client calls about a pet with a critical illness, one of our four veterinarians will see them immediately. Because we treat every patient as though they were a member of our own family, there may be some wait time if you have called with an urgent case that same day, or if an unexpected, critical emergency arrives. We appreciate our clients’ understanding when this occurs. We strive to see all of our regularly scheduled appointments in a timely manner.

Hospitalized Patients

Stable patients needing overnight care may, by agreement between the client and the pet’s veterinarian, stay at our hospital. We are not a 24-hour facility, and pets are supervised intermittently, not continuously. Many patients requiring continuous care are referred to the Capital District Animal Emergency Clinic for overnight care.

Payment Policies

Our policy is to require full payment at the time that services are provided. We accept cash, checks, Mastercard, VISA, Discover and Care Credit. Any exceptions must be discussed and approved before services are rendered.
